Kyiv Boryspil Express – new way to get to Boryspil
In December 2018, Kyiv Boryspil Express was launched in Kyiv – a new way to get from Kyiv Railway Station to Boryspil Airport (KBP).

The express departs from 14 Kyiv-Pasazhyrsky platform and arrives to a special platform near Terminal D of Boryspil Airport (level 1, Arrivals), you need to walk about 300 meters to the terminal. Travel time is about 40 minutes (36-44 minutes according to official timetable).
Fare is 80 hryvnias. At the same time, the ticket for the bus Sky Bus to the airport went up from 80 to 100 hryvnias.
The interval is about 1 hour, which is not very often, it makes you plan your trip more carefully.
Tickets for the Boryspil Express cannot be bought in advance online. To buy one, you can use the terminals near the special waiting room at the station, which accept cards, or at the box office №50 at South railway station.

A ticket is without a fixed seat, and is valid for 24 hours (it is indicated on it), which means that if for some reason you missed time for the express, you can easily get on the next train with the same ticket.

There is a separate hall for waiting for the express in the station building, there are a lot of power sockets near each chair, there is also free Wi-Fi and screens duplicating airport boards.

To get on the express you need to go down the stairs from the waiting room, so you get to the 14th platform. Kyiv Boryspil Express departs from it / arrives to. Declared capacity – 90 seats.

After leaving the station, the train travels very slowly, straight crawling.

At first it seems that we may be in a traffic jam, but this is the standard mode of the Boryspil “express”.
One intermediate stop is provided at Darnytsia station. A ticket from / to this station also costs 80 hryvnias.
After Darnytsia, the train is gaining speed and it no longer seems that it is going late.

Arrival at Boryspil airport on a special covered platform, from which you need to walk the marked path to the lower level of Terminal D.

In the first month of operation of the express there were about 4 breakdowns / delays of the train. When I was riding it, a system failure prevented me from buying tickets, passengers were allowed on the train, and then tickets were bought at the arrival station. These possible nuances should be taken into account when choosing a type of transportation.
In general, Kyiv Boryspil Express is a good alternative to the Sky Bus, and the difference in price is compensated by the presence of a comfortable waiting room.
Bonus for those who have read to the end :) – password to Wi-fi in the waiting room of the express:
